Glastonbury Festival 2024, new art prints and camping ideas!

It’s almost here and those with tickets are in for a treat! If you’ve attended before, you’ll know just how magical Glastonbury Festival can really be. I’ve been lucky enough to attend a number of times in the past, but unfortunately, I just missed out on tickets, but that doesn’t mean we still can’t get involved and feel that festival magic!

If you’re still pumped for the occasion and looking forward to watching Glastonbury on the TV, there are a number of things you could do to turn it up a notch or two.

You’re already at an advantage with the toilet situation, and we know that the sofa in your home is probably the easy answer when it comes to watching the coverage via the BBC, but if you’re anything like me, making memories and camping outdoors is something to cherish and plays an important part in the full festival experience.

1. Head to a campsite and curate your own event…

Call your mates, grab a tent and head to a campsite and recreate that outdoor festival experience. Picture sitting around with a beverage in hand whilst the communal fire is roaring away, and you cast a live set on your chosen electrical device. Sounds pretty *chefs kiss* to me. You may want to consider using a projector if there are a few of you. Just don’t forget the portable speaker and spare battery pack if you’re camping without electricity.

I actually went camping on a family farm during 2023 Glastonbury Festival. Again we didn’t score a ticket, so we decided to take ourselves to Cuckoo Farm in Rutland. We were greeted by rolling hills, sheep and other campers who had a similar idea to recreate their own Glastonbury Festival in the great outdoors - How did I know? I think the live Arctic Monkeys set on mobile phones gave it away, and I loved it. The community spirit was alive!

2. Glastonbury watch party

You’d think this would be the most obvious type of public event, but surprisingly, there’s a lacklustre offer, and we’re rather sparse of choice. A beer garden and live-streaming would surely be desirable among fans? After some searching, I've managed to find only three watch parties that I’ll link to. If you know of any others, do leave a note in the comment section.

The Fire Station - Sunderland City Centre - When: Fri 28th June - Sunday 30th June - From 16:00

That Beer Place… - Foregate Street Chester - When: Fri 28th June - Sunday 30th June - From 12:00

The Pearl at Park Hill - Pat Midgley Ln Sheffield - When: Fri 28th - From: 16:45 - IG Post for more info.

2.  Cider, Cider, Cider…

Glastonbury is not the same without a little cider, it’s practically a tradition and Brothers will once again be the official cider of Glastonbury 2024. This locally produced cider is from the Showerings Mill just three miles from the Festival site and is made with Somerset apples. So make sure you get into the spirit and chill a few chilled cans.

If you’ve heard about the legendary cider bus on the current site, you'll probably know of Burrow Hill Cider. They have a rich history and have been part of the festival since the very beginning. If you’re all about authenticity, you can find bottles of their cider bus sparking cider here

3. Get Decorative!

I’ve designed two festival-themed prints for the summer! Both can be viewed and pre-ordered on my website. If you’re a lover of art, festivals or, specifically Glastonbury, I’ve got you covered!

They’re all printed in the UK on heavyweight recycled paper and suitable for any home, and would make the perfect gift or reminder for festival enthusiasts.

Print 1 - Glastonbury Festival - Available in A3 and A2

4. Stay Updated Throughout

Glastonbury Free Press is a daily newspaper that is printed on the grounds of the festival, specifically in the Theatre & Circus fields and is available for everyone to access around the site for free. It is now available to read online as a PDF file. You can access 2023s here. Keep an eye on the official website for updates regarding this year’s Glastonbury Free Press.

Worthy FM goes live from Monday 24th June - Monday 1st July and provides coverage of the festival site such as traffic news, stories, interviews, updates and music. You can listen live here.

X - It goes without saying that X is the go to for the festival attendees, you’ll normally find urgent festival updates including emergencies, secret sets info and general updates.

Ultimately, wherever you are this Glastonbury - have a fantastic time!
